I’m immune to it. You can spend 4 years somewhere and be affected, feel hurt, but you cannot let it distract you.

The staff says all the students go through the same things. They don’t... They don’t look like me.

Are you BLACK at a PREDOMINANTLY WHITE INSTITUTION? Do you feel connected to the quotes above?

Currently, I am collecting narratives for my project, Shaded Layers, that will collect and elevate the voices of Black students who attend Predominant White Institutions. What does that look like? You, a Black student, attends a university that is not a Historical Black College/University. As witnessed on social media and in the news, there have been multiple cases of racially charged incidents against the Black student population. While we have this coverage, a lot of of it goes unheard of and swept under the rug. In that event, I am doing a project that will project the voices of Black students and bring them to validity. If you would like to share your testimony, please fill out the form below and I will get contact you. You may also direct message me on Instagram.
